People are encouraged to be involved in decisions relating to their care and are treated with dignity and respect. People are supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff will support them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests. Staff support people to access healthcare services and would advocate for them when required.

Care will be highly personalised to meet people’s individual needs and our policies, procedures and systems in the service, will support our team to work safely with, and in the best interests of the people in our care. Our staff will work creatively to establish communication with people, so their views could be heard, and people can be confident that they could raise any issues or concerns with any member of staff or the management team and that these would be addressed. Staff will be trained and confident to be able to support people at the end of their lives and are proactive in helping people make plans and arrangements, so their wishes are known.
